Delicious multifloral honey, produced in Switzerland by a long-time beekeeper from the Riviera (Ticino), as variable as nature.

Ticino wildflower honey from the Riviera is a multifloral honey that derives from the mixture of various nectars of mountain flora and is harvested in the Ticino region, more precisely in the Riviera District. The organoleptic characteristics of the product vary from year to year according to the blooms. Its consistency can be liquid immediately after its harvest (from October to December) and after some time (from December to August) it becomes creamy, noticeably sugary, typical of crystallized honey.

Ticino millefiori honey from the Riviera is a specialty with a sweet and aromatic flavour. It has a delicate aroma of medium intensity with a sometimes pungent and intense note. Its aroma changes according to the harvest year.

Use of wildflower honey

Spread this delicacy on fresh bread or simply enjoy it straight from the spoon. Wildflower honey is used in the preparation of sweets or dishes linked to mountain traditions, such as croutons with lard.

Properties

Ticino wildflower honey has a multitude of beneficial properties. Rich in mineral salts, it is an excellent energizer and tonic. It can be used as a support for the treatment of urinary infections. It is also useful for the gastrointestinal system as it eliminates constipation, balances bacterial levels and improves nutrient absorption.

Wildflower honey is valued for cleansing the liver and improving circulation. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is useful in the treatment of flu states, helps to appease coughs, relieves inflammation of the throat and performs antibacterial functions. Some studies indicate it is useful for counteracting seasonal allergies after taking small doses.

Finally, it is also an excellent ally of skin and hair. Thanks to its antioxidants, it can improve the appearance and tone of the skin, reduce inflammation and promote the healing process.
