The Ticino honey from Malcantone is a multifloral honey that derives from the mixture of various nectars of mountain flora and is harvested in the Ticino region, more precisely in Malcantone. The organoleptic characteristics of the product vary from year to year according to the blooms. Its consistency can be liquid immediately after its harvest (from October to December) and after some time (from December to August) it becomes creamy, noticeably sugary, typical of crystallized honey.

Ticino honey from Malcantone is a specialty with a sweet and aromatic flavour. It has a delicate aroma of medium intensity with a sometimes pungent and intense note. Its aroma changes according to the harvest year.

Use of Ticino honey from Malcantone

Spread this delicacy on fresh bread or simply enjoy it straight from the spoon. Ticino honey from Malcantone is used in the preparation of sweets or dishes linked to mountain traditions, such as croutons with lard.
